| As expected, we see a lot of energy on the eco-fashion front. More shows, more events, and even more awards for eco-designers. The Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation is giving out an award for sustainability and there's also London's RE:Fashion Award. Check out the highlighted events below the fold. I'll be at some of them and in some of them, but I have work to do in Mozambique smack-dab in the middle of the eco-fashion extravaganza, so unfortunately I'll have t ... |

A not-so-rosy review of Planet Green Critic bashes new eco-tainment network |
Sarah van Schagen |

| I imagine some folks over at Planet Green are seeing red right about now. You would be too if someone suggested your new eco-cable network 'embarrasses the Earth.' It's the first really negative review of Planet Green I've seen, and it was penned by Slate television critic Troy Patterson. The entire review can pretty much be summed up with this: 'Planet Green turns the entire Earth into a lifestyle accessory, often to uniquely awful effect.'Patterson goes on to ... |

| Fallen popstar Britney Spears has a guest starring role on tonight's episode of How I Met Your Mother. And despite evidence that would predict otherwise, reviews suggest she pulls off the role fairly well. After the show, she'll be pulling off her clothes ...For charity, that is. Her wardrobe from the appearance -- including a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress, and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details -- will be p ... |

| Everyone's favorite gangsta (and Official Grist Girl-Crush) Natalie Portman has designed a collection of vegan shoes for specialty retailer Té Casan. Styles range from satin sandals to faux-patent pumps to ballet flats. "As a vegan, it's been challenging finding designer shoes made of alternative materials," Portman says. "This collection offers a great selection without compromising quality or style." Shoes in the Natalie Portman Collec ... |

The devil wears blue jeans On the latest eco-conscious denim trends and events |
Summer Rayne Oakes |

| 'Who are the big, fat, tall people that buy the jeans we make?' That's the question that Jasmine, 16, innocently asks in Micha Peled's documentary China Blue, a clandestine view of three girls' lives in a Chinese sweatshop. I felt pretty embarrassed watching Jasmine cut the threads off our blue jeans during her 20-hour workday. It's the same Catholic schoolgirl guilt you get when the burly, bearded dude walks in on you because the gas station's bathroom lock is b ... |

Oh Danny Boy An interview with green-style guru Danny Seo |

| If Martha Stewart really is having a new-age awakening as she prepares to enter the clink (she just bought Body & Soul Magazine and rumor has it she intends to give her lifestyle empire a hint, at least, of green), she might want to take notes from one competitor who, at the tender age of 27, is already burnishing his reputation as America's reigning environmental lifestyle expert. That would be Danny ... |
