				<p><strong>I don't think we are going to get there from here<p>Many in the science community are beginning to suspect that politicians are not up to this challenge. How do we force them to look at the science and stop the pork? From a market perspective, equal subsidies for all is the same as no subsidies for anyone. Of course, what we have now is the worse case scenario.

				<p><strong>no surprise<p>If the pork gives them a greater incentive to support dirty industries than angry voters give them to support clean industries, scientists and anyone else shouldn't be surprised. Considering how low the environment rates as a concern for voters, this isn't going to change without stronger or better public awareness advocacy.
