				<p><strong>no Mike, Obama is coal too</strong></p><p>Nice emotional tirade, Mike, but there was a lot more going on than Kaine &amp; coal. &nbsp;Like, national gravitas and experience. &nbsp;Balancing the ticket. &nbsp;You forget Carter and W balanced their tickets with Mondale and Cheney, experienced DC insiders.</p><p>
More importantly, besides the strong lip service Obama has given climate and green jobs, remember that he also campaigned on "clean coal" and is from a state with a significant coal lobby (from its southern tier).</p><p>
I'd say that a larger strike against Kaine was the prospect of a Republican Lt. Governor becoming Governor, and reversing the gains the Dems have had in VA. &nbsp;Kaine will be getting his reward(s) in 2010.</p>
