Elecrtic Vehicles can make a difference
Mahatma Gandhi said
"The earth has enough for every man's need, but not every man's greed". It is perhaps because of our greed that the environment has come to such a pass. We now need to do all that we can to repair what damage we can and if not at least limit it. Electric vehicles are one step in this direction for lower emissions of greenhouse gasses. I hope that more people seek to embrace them this year.

I have trouble believing

I have trouble believing that a 2008 bill wouldn't include many more compromises than we would have to make in 2009. Unless those compromises can be renegotiated withinn a couple of years, going for an early bill might do more harm than good. I suspect this position would be considered to be the "conventional wisdom" within the movement. Can you make a persuasive case that this isn't the likely outcome?
