Now NY governor Paterson is peak oil aware. I think this makes him the first governor in the U.S. to have spoken publicly about peak oil and M. King Hubbert.  

Whether he will be able to do anything about it is another story.

She shows herself to be a truly thoughtful person: anti-democratic, in the wisest Platonist tradition.

And notice that meanwhile, disturbingly, she has not strong hopes about David Paterson.

Chickens deserve our true friendship! So do fish! So do other sentient beings! Let us learn to be kind.

Interestingly, the scandal occurred with governor of the state from which one of the senators currently is running for President of the United States.

Apparently, it was an excellent job of law enforcement, since the evidence was so compelling.

Even more coincidentally, the subject matter of the scandal resonates to a prior scandal that involved the senator / candidate.

Anyway I think the jury is very much out on David Paterson, but he's clearly got potential and good instincts. Hopefully he'll surround himself with the proactive advisors.
