Eastern Kentucky Appalachian Mountain Range will not survive the devistation of MTR if this practice is not stopped. How can you ban hydraulic mining and approve of this type of coal strip mining when it is by far the more environmentally destructive. I live below a Hollow fill, 200 years of family history destroyed along with the habitat of dozens of species of wild life. When the coal is gone all that will be left for us will be the environmental nightmare left behind by MTR. How this type of devistation can be allowed in this day and time by a country that is supposed to be a leader in saving the environment is beyond belief.
