Its interesting to see what the other side
of the aisle is saying about Obama's picks.

Conservative columnist David Brooks so far likes Obama's choices because they are moderates, well-respected in and out of Washington, and make decisions based on evidence not ideology.

3 CEOs and a Buggy

Imagine if the CEOs of the Automotive Big 3 drove into Washington, DC -- in a Chevvy Equinox fuel cell SUV powered by Hydrogen!

Imagine if instead of begging for money they presented the Equinox to the American People and said, "Look at this! Look at what we can do...a Car with no CO2...that can be powered by a fuel created from wind and solar!"

http://www.chevrolet.com/fuelcell/

People would be standing in line to donate money to the Big Three...happily!

Moderation and Expertise

First moderation or the vital center is a mirage, a collective hallucination of the chattering punditry. Moderation only has whatever meaning that the right or left allows it to have. It is political stance without any significant literature, philosophy, or thinkers.

It will be good to have an intelligent president for a change. But the sad fact of the matter is that most of the catastrophies that are currently falling upon our heads, were created by "experts." Experts with a lot of experience screwing up the world in previous administrations. Those of us of a certain age can well remember the scourge of our youth - the Vietnam War. Brought to you by the Best and the Brightest.
