Give money to pro-environment candidates in 2008.

Or to any candidate running against someone like Inhofe.

Here's a way to support the bill
David

You feel as strong about this as I do. I'm part of a group that's working to make sure that the bill is passed. It's been 22 years since we've had a CAFE increase - ridiculous! Right now it's at 27.5. We're hoping to see it go up to 35 over 13 years...quite achievable.

We're also hoping the renewable electricity standard (RES)go up to 15%. Basically that means that our country get 15% of its electricity from renewable sources. With global warming, the cost of gas, and unstable oil sources, it only makes sense.

You're right. Corporations and their lobbyists are working to block it. That's why we've got a petition up at http://www.energybill2007.us

I hope you'll sing it and tell others.

Global Taxes, versus not

It comes down to this:

a. Scare mongerers who want to use AGW to increase our taxes

vs.

b. People who realize we're in the midst of an Al Gore inspired witch hunt, and that if we delay enough "cooler" heads will prevail.

It's a bad picture all around for science, and for rationality, as the enviro-crazies have gone Salem on us.
