umm, "the law"? mooo-ee? ....

Well, grand victory for Cornucopia over those piratical types at Aurora.

Pity, that the Party of the First and the Party of the Second should both be named by good Latin nouns of the First Declension, both with benevolent divine associations.

I would also have said: Pity, that Cornucopia did not make a very big deal about animal welfare, and how the dairy cattle at Aurora were being mistreated.

This is an example of how "the law" may get in the way of ethics. Cornucopia's lawyers apparently feel they have enough at this point against Aurora.

But is anyone looking after the cows, our cousins, fellow sentient beings? So OK, Aurora's cows will be released from their abuse, if, God permit, the case goes against them. What happens to them then? Is anyone prepared to step in and look after them?

And what do we know, really, about Cornucopia's interests in cows, and other animals? With unusual understatement, DR described their website as "dysfunctional."

Chickens are our cousins!
So are other sensitive animals!
Enough is enough!
No more factory farms!

No choice...

Locally we have a choice of Aurora, Horizon or Stremicks. All have 1 cow ratings on the score card listed above. Maybe after Whole Foods gets off their post-merger butts and builds a store locally then we might have more choices. Seems all their other Southern California stores sell Clover Stornetta Farms milk. Just seems silly to drive 30 miles one way for half a gallon of milk twice a month.

Most mainstream stores now sell soy milk

It used to be harder to find soy milk at places other than Whole Foods and natural food stores but now I can find it at nearly all mainstream supermarkets, like Safeway and Giant.

water does a body good too

hey, just a thought that if the ethics of milk are getting you down, and you can't find good organic milk in your area, then maybe try not drinking it for a while?

not trying to be a smart-a##, just trying to suggest a conscious-consumer alternative.

Water

I don't knock water. Drink a lot of it every day. However it doesn't work right in my cereal, coffee or chai. Though I use half-and-half in my coffee and chai. Not a big fan of soy dairy alternatives as they always cause digestion problems with me.
