The Rainforest Action Network's new Rainforest Agribusiness Campaign is letting ADM, Bunge and Cargill know that destroying the world's rainforests for profit won't fly.

Tell the CEOs of these companies that agrobusiness as usual must end.  You can send a message to the CEOs here ~

We need more of this. Every gallon of vegetable oil diverted from the food chain to a car has to be made up somewhere and the only land left to plow sits under a biodiverse carbon sink.

They made the front page of the Trib, didn't they?
But the problem is getting them to be taken seriously.

I don't believe this serves that purpose.

The FOCUS should be on changing the oppinions of large "environmental lobbying groups".
And our public and private leaders.

I think this is similar to that Patreus ad, where the story was more about the audacity of what they did, rather than the substance behind it.

You aren't going to shame shameless companies.
That tactic just doesn't work.

If shame was their approach, they'd do far better to shame NRDC or GreenPeace for their support of biofuels.

Highly public organizations that actually care whether or not they are perceived as "green".
