Gibson fails on energy
Which is all Sara Palin can claim experience in.

There is no way that energy independence can be achieved by furthering the oil economy. It's an absolute physical impossibility.

Foreign policy fail: The US has no teeth in the Caucasus and the Russians know it. Russia's control of pipelines passing through their territory is absolute. They have turned the taps to the gas and oil off before and there is nothing stopping them from doing it again.

Whacko fail: She's a nutcase from a nutcase church that asserts that US christians have the right to ignore laws and standards to "do gods will." Which seems to coincide with Sara Palin's will an awful lot.

This wasn't really an interview but rather a propaganda piece made with the collusion of ABC. Televised media simply cannot be trusted without independent verification.

The US is in a world of hurt...

And Palin/McCain have no idea how to get us to safe ground.

Were we to attempt to use our military to obtain (steal) adequate oil we would finish bankrupting ourselves.

The rabid right should reflect on why the Soviet Union collapsed. (Think spending vastly, largely on things military, exceeding income.)

Follow the Palin/McCain lead down a continuing oil based future and we drain our economy, sending our money to people who dislike us.

For the US to become strong once again we have to develop renewable energy resources thus stopping the purchase of foreign oil and creating thousands and thousands of good in-country jobs.

Palin is so unready to lead that it's criminal. It's like heading into the Super Bowl and suiting out the paper boy as your backup quarterback.

It's a head banger allright.
When I read the quote in the OP I keep coming to the conclusion that Sara Palin thinks that WE should control the oil and gas in Russia's pipelines.

I swear I'm a good reader. Somebody with an english major parse that thing out for me.

She's rapturous Pang

Brezinski explained this american fumdamentalist neocon phenomenon this morning on MSNBC. Palin is the poster child for this sort of ugly american foreign policy.

They know nothing of other cultures assuming theirs is the only possible right one. In return for the heavenly rapturous benefit of our advanced civilization these other countries are supposed to yield up all their valuables.

And be thankfull that we saved them. Manifest destiny revisited, by those who never even heard of manifest destiny. like duuhbya and Palin.

Those who learn from history are doomed to watch others (in this case supremely misinformed) repeat it.

It's only right since their marvelous connection with heaven has saved the heathens from eternal damnation.

A Much Bigger Problem

Russia decided after the first Gulf War that it could not stand up to the U.S. using conventional weapons. The result of that conclusion is an official policy that if the U.S. attacks Russia, it will retaliate with nuclear weapons.

Anyone seeking public office who even suggests going to war with Russia must be soundly defeated. Anyone in public office who does must be removed and imprisoned.
