To make this a truly environmental event, there should be no parking spaces available at these concerts.  Figure out how to get there yourself.  Buses can park, though.

Now that the celebs ended hunger in Africa and HIV/AIDS, they're ready to end global warming, right?

I think for the most part (99%), such efforts as the above do little for social action or even sustainable public awareness and more for the guilty consciences of the celebs.

From my experience with the same on global poverty issues, I advise all to ignore the hype.
