				<p><strong>Great article...<p>while the balance of compensation may be tilted too far against landowners in some areas, this stuff is ridiculous. This should be overturned in the Supreme Court since it has already ruled that states have the right to regulate as long as it's not a complete takings.<p>

				<p><strong>That's not how it works</strong></p><p>The Oregon Supreme Court already upheld it, so there is no case in the federal courts. &nbsp;</p><p>
(That is, the State of Oregon can't sue itself in federal court to have the feds rescue it from its citizens, who passed the initiative making it a part of state law.) &nbsp;A state is perfectly free NOT to regulate land use as much as the federal constitution would allow.</p>
