It is no surprise that John Edwards has been brilliant, on this as on a number of other issues.  Nor is it surprising that Barack Obama, in his good time, has come up with something impressive.

What should surprise us is that over 50% of Democrats are falling into line behind Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Sure, she is intelligent, and sure she is politically astute and shrewd.  But is that all that Democrats are looking for?

Chickens are our cousins! So are fish! So are other sentient animals! Let us learn to be kind.

His stances on the environment seem to be winning him some support.

and interesting that they chose his rejection of nuclear energy as part of the reason. There's a clear difference here that hasn't been talked about much.
