Why can't Pelosi have her own votes.

Have a separate vote on each issue:

Offshore
Strategic Petroleum
Renewable

Let representatives respond to the constituents instead of hoary Democrat log rolling and chicanery.

Because of the Senate Republicans.

They have filibustered more votes this year, than any congress in history.

The filibuster rule allows a minority to block the will of the majority.  It should be eliminated, as the Republicans threatened to do when they were in the majority and were afraid that the Democrats would filibuster some of Bush's more fascist Supreme Court nominations.

Why isn't anyone pointing out that the Republicans are simply lying, again, to gain access to whatever their corporate cronies want.  Drilling in our environmentally sensitive areas will NOT reduce gasoline prices to previous levels.  The only real solution to our 'energy crisis' is to get into rehab and end our addiction to oil once and for all.  We need to re-define our means of transportation and energy supplies now if we are going to have a future.
