				<p><strong>how stupid ..<p>I further propose we inspire the ingenuity and resolve of the American people by offering a $300 million prize for the development of a battery package that has the size, capacity, cost and power to leapfrog the commercially available plug-in hybrids or electric cars.<p>
Innovation doesn't proceed by announcing prizes, but by supported federal funding for R&amp;D. <p>
If somebody creates this magic battery, he/she doesn't need McCain's prize to become rich. The global transport industry is worth trillions of dollars. McCain's "prize" is peanuts compared to the real catch.. <p>
It is time the environmentalist community took McCain to task.. for this joke of a prize !! <br>
