presumably means persuading Hillary to drop out.

But she seems so entitled-plus-missionary, that I wonder if persuasion is possible.  And it is indeed true that she has a lot of strong supporters, who care little for Barack Obama.  And anyway Al Gore is not one whose opinion she is likely to respect.
