Seriously, stop trying to pass it as it's own bill. &nbsp;It won't pass that way, not this year.</p><p>
Just attach it as an ammendment to a veto-proof bill already.</p>

				<p><strong>Perhaps Dems Over-reached</strong></p><p>I have to think we would make more progress on these issues if we didn't load them up with all sorts of amendments. &nbsp;For instance, if congress wanted to help control oil prices - one easy way would be to stop buying oil for the SPR - but since that was tied to a windfall profit tax (which tax allergic Republicans will reflexively oppose regardless of the merits) both die... </p>
