Increasing media attention would certainly be a good thing to help raise awareness about the state of these national parks. African animals are highly-valued creatures by people who don't even live in countries like Zambia, but would still like to contribute to grass roots conservation.  Eco-tourism has been popular too and helps to pay for park support and upkeep.

Hammer's story is really inspiring.  I think these types of programs are much better solutions than the ones that promote trophy hunting by westerners, supposedly to raise money for "conservation."
