Kudos!

Even being myself from New Brunswick, Canada, I hadn't heard of Popular River, Manitoba. It's a reminder that Canada is a huge place. I'm thrilled this group of native people have negotiated protection for their land. New Brunswick has had issues regarding negotiations with native people and protected areas. The Miramichi River area in particular has protected fishing. I also think it would be great if Sophia Rabliauskas is able to organize a documentary of their process to protect the area. This would not only raise awareness about the benefits of protecting the environment, it could teach us more about what appear to be a very unique people.
