Thanks Dave
Just a few additional comments:

The Grist search engine will index the site (including Gristmill) several times during the day. This means that the freshest content will not be included in search results until the next index.

Comments are not included. While technically possible, we decided against making comments searchable. We are crafting ways to make it easier to learn about new comments, most commented stories, etc. But let us know if any of you will be missing the ability to search comments.

Head of the geek squad.

Look out! It's a media shower!

Also...

I too would like to add something...

Developing features on an active website is an organic process, and although we're excited to get this new feature out there, it is still new and in will behave a ways that other "Beta" releases do. So to you dear readers and contributors, if something looks funky and it stays funky for more than a ten minutes, please let me know (jerome at grist.org).

Uh oh,
Explorer just gave me a warning that it has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. Coincidence or bug?
