Green Baby Books

I was pregnant a few months ago and found that The Complete Organic Pregnancy made me feel incredibly stressed. The more I read, the more I felt that no matter what I did, I was always going to miss something that would poison my baby.

The thing is, that's true. I can't babyproof the world. But this particular book didn't make me feel as if the more I did, the better off I was. It made me feel like my baby was doomed. I'll check out the two recommended books next time, but I'm not going back to Dolan and Zissu's book.

I'm working my way through this list myself

I enjoyed Green Babies, Sage Moms, but thats the only book on this list I've read. Right now I'm working my way through the Natural Family Living, Mothering Magazines's Guide to Parenting, which is pretty good, and Mothers and Others' Guide to Natural Baby Care, which is almost an information overload, so of course I love it. I have a few of these books on my list for future readings, and some of these I have not heard of, but will add to my list. Thanks for the info!

Similac is NOT green

I sure hope that these "green" baby books mention the vast superiority of breastfeeding.

Not only is it incredibly healthier for your baby (and can prevent all kinds of ills), but it is healthier for the planet. It takes 6000 gallons of fresh water to produce one gallon of cow's milk.

Save the planet, seriously, while taking the best care of your baby. All the rest of the "crap" doesn't even matter.

Baby book titles

I really thought at first that "And Baby Makes Four: Training a Baby-Friendly Dog to Disease-Proof Your Child" was all one title -- something about canine kisses carrying germs to help your baby develop immunities.
