Hey,

HDPE is a softer plastic that can leach as well, but is not made with BPA chemicals. It's better if you can go with a Sigg or a Klean Kanteen though.

What Walmart, in TYPICAL Walmart fashion, is really saying here is "look, we've already bought a bunch of this stuff and we won't buy anymore but we're going to sell our backstock and the personal consequences of our faceless lower income shoppers be damned."  What they want you to hear is "Hey everyone - look at us - we're green too!!"  Well kids of today, sucks to be you but there's hope for your younger sibs.  Suck it up.
