Or is it not fair to expect anyone to know this, whether or not they accept the theory of evolution? (as surely Bill Richardson does): Mushrooms are NOT vegetables; not only that, but they, and all fungi, are more closely related to us, and all animals, than they are to beets, carrots, broccoli, eggplants, etc.

Too bad that my man John Edwards speaks so harshly about mushrooms, which I love.  But whatever.  He cannot be right about absolutely everything, I suppose.

Yes, I noticed that Dennis Kucinich, famous vegan whom I admire greatly, was not given the slightest mention.  But there you are: he is the exception that proves the rule.

Chickens are our cousins! So are fish! So are other sentient animals! Let us learn to be kind.
