Ouch

OK, this plays to several of the worst stereotypes of the environmental movement, but it has stuck with me ever since I heard it a few years ago from a friend who ran a small land trust in northern California:

What's the difference between a developer and an environmentalist?

A developer is someone who wants to build a cabin in the woods; an environmentalist is someone who already has one.

Make us laugh.

When I was a kid growing up the funnies were always good but nothing cracked a rib more easily than printed mistakes in newspapers. My mother still has some of them saved in a binder somewhere. My two favourites to this day are: "Wanted: Barbed Wife" I'm guessing he probably already has one of those and was looking for "barbed wire" and the other was "wanted: electric wench" he either meant "winch" or he was just really, really hopeful. I've seen several books published with some really great misprinted material but those will always be classics to me.
