Guru

According to Maureen Dowd, a student of Shakespeare, "Seinfeld" (the teevee show) is the cultural guide to modern times.

Larry IS that show, Jerry just said his lines, Larry wrote it.

What kind of a culture has Larry as it's guru? Hehehey.

Be afraid.

Not Much There

I watched the entire two hours of the special. While I enjoyed some of it - Bill Maher was by far the best, for both laughs and commentary - I saw nothing telling people what to do or, more importantly, to stop doing, to reverse the human factors causing global warming, including no talk about curtailing excessive driving or energy use, which are the most important things we can do as individuals. Instead, the show just asked people to visit a website. Yeah, that'll really help.

LAS VEGAS????

They wanted to raise awareness of global warming and they chose to do it in Las Vegas. The city that sits in the middle of the desert. The lights are always on, there are cars going up and down the strip all night. Water usage is out of control. So they give money to that city and provide yet another venue that attracks tourists.

But of course, they know better than I. They are of course, Hollywood.
