Eco...luxury... it's all good!

Thanks for your comments on luxury eco commerce, Emily. I work with woodworking artisans in Vermont to market and sell their handcrafted eco furniture, a luxury by any measure.

Often people tell me that eco luxury is an oxy moron. I don't believe it. For many people, it's not until they have everything that they start understanding that real luxury is the good feeling you get from helping to make the world a better place. If green commerce can lead people to this discovery, we all win.

Linda Loudermilk
On to Linda Loudermilk, a fashion designer out of Los Angeles with a punk-inflected, Stevie Nicks leather-and-lace air, and an eco-evangelical intensity. "I had an experience with nature that turned my life around," said Loudermilk, adding that the story was too long to convey right then. "I was doing couture in Paris, but five years ago I picked up and moved to L.A. and started R&D on sustainable fabrics.
I like this designer.
