I've listened to Spearhead for years - & the music is absolutely the top on my list - however -I knew little about Michael Franti except for what I knew through his lyrics (powerful lyrics - obviously I knew he was an activist & assumed his music was his medium) ... I now know about his festival.  
The world needs to discover more real musicians / more real hip hop. More real people.
