If Nader merely repeats to 2000 campaign, it will not be good for anyone, including himself.  If he applies the same energies to a broader message then a lot of scenarios are possible.

If Nader runs the same campaign all over again, then he will draw less votes than before, a sign that the political climate has changed and he did not.

My personal opinion.

He always splits the democratic vote, he never hurts the consevative base.

He killed one of GM attempts at a fuel efficient car and made his bones on it.

The handling problems on the Corvair were fixed by the second or third year production run. When he killed it they could concentrate more time on their muscle cars gas guzzlers of the era.

He has had some good ideas but is irrelevant at this point.

The eons of time and nature was good to us down here. It was not until we become civilized that destroying our habitat become fathomable or fashionable.

   A Third Party candidate may or may not be useful, but Ralph Nader is a party of one candidate.  It's all about his ego.

   He should look to Al Gore for a role model.

I think it was a insinuation that 'cause he launched his 2004  candidacy on the same news program, that he might do the same when he appears on it this time.

It would be pretty late in the game to do so, I think, but almost anything is possible.
