The rights of nature should supersede all other rights.  And whether humans like it or not, nature bats last, as the saying goes.

And there's nothing save for political intransigence preventing we here in the United States from doing the same thing.

...now let's see how well it stands up in Equadorian courts.

Kind of like saying "gravity has an inalienable right to make stuff fall down," but it is a huge conceptual leap for our culture.

One small step for Nature, one huge step for mankind. It should be first nature for everyone to think this way.

I think that it is awesome that Ecuador approved a new constitution that grants inalienable rights to nature!!  The United States should do something that helps out the environment!  Our planet needs more of our help!
