When did Obama switch his energy policy over to this stance?  Wasn't he backing fuel farming, nuclear power, and clean coal before?

The Obama policy excerpts presented here seem to tout clean coal as well.  He opposes "traditional coal", a clever phrase that excepts "clean" coal. Has he change his stand on ethanol after Iowa?  Or nuclear power.

Every pub debate participant mentioned nuclear first in their response to energy policy questions.

Obama's energy policy apparently comes from industry lobbyists.  Goals for reduction aren't enough, the energy policy being examined must state specific technologies to get to those goals.

As with vague cap and trade policies, that even those who propose them do not understand, these reduction goals give politicians plenty of wiggle room to avoid real energy policy using real capital.

What if FDR had merely set goals for WW 2 war production or capped auto production and allowed a "free" market trading system to handle tank and bomber production numbers?

Are we stuck with Obama now?

Does anybody else feel a hint of dread?  The same dread of the 2004 election.  Huckabee could actually beat Obama on the strength of electoral corruption using racism as an excuse.

Will democratic party lawyers actually fight the Huckabee appointment this time?  Or leave it to a third party to try to object to voting irregularities as with Ohio in 2004?

Will the vore scamming expand to all the southern states this time around, instead of only Florida or Ohio?  it's a good bet.  Voting machines will be moved out of heavily democratic precincts to lengthen lines for voting.  in ohio there were 6 hour lines to vote.

We could have another bush, named huckabee.  And four more years of christian jihad for oil.  And four more after that as war with Iran and/or Venezuala gets going.
