Human nature

This is an example of how nature can heal when people are kept out of an area. The no man's land between the two Koreas and the canyons of San Diego are other examples. Some of the state forests here in Washington are dangerous to hike because of all of the illegal activities (meth labs, car stripping, tree poaching and on and on). We need to acknowledge human nature (including the darker side) and account for it if we are going to save what is left. It does little good to call something a preserve if you can't protect it (NAWR).
