I was at the premier last night of Coal Country at the WV State Cultural Centers Theater. We the West Virginia Sierra Club had an open reception for this event "both environmentsl and mine industry" which went very good. We had around 200 people from the environmental community around 150 from the mining community and about 200 that are interested in the subject matter. The film did a good job at presenting both sides of the issue but did leave a lot of techincal matters out. But over all it was a well made film and I believe was well received by both sides. We hade very little vilence just one incident involving a young lady and gentelman in the environmental community and about 8 or 10 miners that where upset. I would like to thank the La Belle Theater in South Charleston for cancealing the event at there location. This was a much better location, there theater could not have held everyone only about 300 people at there's and the Cultural Center held 500, and we still had to turn people away. I would also like to thank all the people who came and made this a great event "yes the miners too".
