Pretty good
This is certainly a major improvement on the status quo situation!

At the same time it must be noted that there are many forms of renewable energy that are not sustainable - first and foremost the wide variety of biofuels that are already leading to increased deforestation (and increase net co2 levels).

Hold strong folks: 1st and foremost reduce use and increase efficiency!

What we can expect from King George

The reasons why the energy bill will be vetoed are varied in my opinion.

First and foremost, any restrictions on the energy lobby or the the oil industry are anathema to this administration.

Secondly, George wants to remind us that he is still King.

Maintenance of the status quo is very important, with emphasis on new coal and nuclear power plants. Huge infrastructure costs will be paid for by an unsuspecting public so that large utilities and corporations can continue to get larger at the expense of the environment and to the detriment of our quality of life.

Spain recently built an 11 megawatt solar powered facility which uses an array of solar mirrors to turn steam turbines and generate a non polluting, renewable source of electricity.

Why can't we do these type of projects here?
