I dream of Lula
I travel through Chicago semi-frequently these days, because my girlfriend's family is from the Midwest. At pretty much every opportunity I insist we go to Lula. Logan Square is the one area I can actually name in Chicago, despite my girlfriend's claims that there's a whole city attached to the neighborhood (whatever).

If you've never been for weekend brunch, check it out. Even oddball stuff, like the fried rice with pork, totally kicks ass.

Radical cafe?

But does it atract radical elements? This is key for quality over quantity, as a values revolution. An upheaval of the grubbing human lifestyle groping for plenty and excess.

Quality food starts at the farm. When family farmers are payed for their power and biofuel istead of the the power company and oil company, they will be able to farm for quality. Instead of trying in vain to compete with toxic agribizz commodity mass poisoning, as our current food system.

Eat half as much, but of a maximum quality? Who in the prosperous part of humanity wouldn't benefit from that diet?

mmmmm

I ate there for breakfast -- what I had isn't on the menus they've posted. Maybe it's new? It was some sort of ... stew. A tomato broth with chunks of sausage and veggies, a fried egg laid over it, topped with shredded crispy tortilla chips. It was unbelievable.
