Once and Future Prez

Interesting:

Gore, who lost the presidency to President Bush in 2000 in disputed circumstances, said there was no doubt the impact of global warming would be best addressed through the power of the presidency, but making a documentary was second best.

Am I hallucinating, or didn't he say somewhere (previously) that he thought he could do more for global warming if he wasn't the President?

As Mr. Spock would say, fascinating.

More for global warming

I seem to remember hearing that at a Sundance Q&A for that film, though perhaps he's learned the limitations of a film campaign over the past several months and realizes now that world leaders can do something very key to this issue: Lead.

I'd vote for Gore over any of the proposed candidates so far.

Tim Torgerson was right

I had an environmental ethics course with a prof that begged us to consider changing our votes to Gore if we were going to vote for Nader in 2000. The arguement that Bush was worse didn't really resonate at the time. Now I finally understand.
