Well,

for whatever it's worth, that comment sounds to me like it was from a provocateur.

I've never personally heard anyone who would describe himself as a "liberal" or "progressive" say anything like that.

Two minutes in and I quit
Blogging is for the written word. Anyone can set up a camera and talk into it. Christ, that's what public access TV is for (and why nobody watches it). Why would bloggers want to emulate the talking heads on TV? Is this an ego thing? Is it an attempt to capture the couch potato demographic?

With the written word, the onus is on the writer to spend a lot of time putting together a concise cohesive argument. It is read at leisure. With talking heads, the listener must endure what is usually endured by the writer as they try to put thoughts on paper.

End of rant.

In the end, it all comes down to biodiversity. Poison Darts--Protecting the biodiversity of our world

i like the part about we're all doomed

like my theory is that with the economic Depression which is just unfolding that consumption will drop off and we'll see a change in CO2 either that or the Sunspot theory prevails and we'll be more worried about the next Minimum and freezing our arses off!

its those unseen risks you must be concerned about.
