Batteries are toxic landmines.

The "Total Volume of Pollution" or TVP (hey, I know how to play this game...make an acrynym)...of batteries is extrodinary.

Plus there are some basic engineering facts:

Batteries weight the same full as empty.

They don't scale with energy content.

Hydrogen meanwhile packs the most energy per unit volume.

And empty hydrogen tank -- has the weight of the tank, not of hundreds of pounds of metals.

Hydrogen is ready to roll.

It will be a level playing field. The only recyclers who will be put out of business will be the ones who fail to find the cheapest way to meet the regulations.
