This is a good idea. It should be expanded to include Canada as well. Doing so would probably just require a bit of tweaking.

I'm also working on a site in the same sphere of borrowing/lending, so I'm very curious about Neighborrow which looks cool.
funny how the reasons to create such a site are so much alike.
my site is dedicated to keeping track of stuff you lend and borrow from friends, and you can find stuff your friends are willing to lend too.
it's available in english and hebrew,
and later this week also in German and Arabic.
