Gotta wonder if being featured on NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," in their which-of-these-ludicrous-things-is-true round, had something to do with Frosty's untimely demise. In defense of the whole concept: Hey, c'mon, the original did have "two eyes made out of coal," after all.

I wonder what ol John would have thought about wild and wonderful West Virginia as a moonscape.

Almost level West Virginia...

The eons of time and nature was good to us down here. It was not until we become civilized that destroying our habitat become fathomable or fashionable.
