It's about time more pro teams and their multi-million dollar stadiums are becomming greener each year. Of course I'm a little biased since my team the Eagles is a doing nice job in saving energy.

Now, with all the money they are saving (LOL), can they please get a big time reciever!

-Scott
Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Thank you for the list. It really is inspiring that professional sports organizations are getting involved and bringing awareness to fans of the importance of saving the environment. We have brought an eco-certified line of sports balls (basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, and more) to market in North America that are ceritifed Fair Trade. Feel free to stop by our blog at http://www.fairtradesports.com if you care to learn more.

I'm a bit disappointed in these choices -- why so many NEW STADIUMS?!?!? And so many 1-trick ponies.

Where is the SF Giants and Oakland Coliseum? Both are centrally located and easily accesible by public transit. Both have very aggerssive recycling programs and divert TONS and TONS of recyclables. Also -- instead of being used for just 1 season a year, Oakland Arena/Coliseum is used for football, basketball, baseball, and dozens of concerts and events. The Giants AT&T Park hosted over 400 events in 2007! Not bad far a venue that holds over 40,000 people.
