Why use green to get rid of grime?

Spring cleaning doesn't have to mean subjecting yourself to chemicals better suited to knocking your socks off than cleaning 'em. Many conventional cleaning products are loaded with chemicals, which is bad for the air you breathe, the water you drink, and the hot bod you spend every day in. What's so clean about that?

Take a look at what Seventh Generation president Jeffrey Hollender once said in an interview with Grist:

"[Seventh Generation] provides non-toxic cleaners, recycled paper towels and tissues, and other alternatives to unhealthy conventional household products. But those products are really just the vehicle for promoting an idea called the Precautionary Principle, which says that when it comes to things that could affect the environment, we should take a good look before we leap and err on the side of caution."

This spring, we want you to err on the side of clean caution. For more on giving your home a non-toxic, green glean, take a gander at Hollender's book, Naturally Clean: The Seventh Generation Guide to Safe & Healthy, Non-Toxic Cleaning.
