Nom de Doom

Bush renominates controversial industry folk to environmental positions

President Bush is recycling -- nominees, that is. To fill three top environmental jobs in his administration, Bush has re-suggested three folks with ties to polluting industries, all of whom were blocked by Congress the first time they were nominated. William Wehrum, temporary-seeking-permanent administrator for the EPA's air office, has previously proposed discontinuing maximum air lead limits; Alex A. Beehler, EPA inspector-general wannabe, has lobbied to weaken standards for perchlorate in drinking water; and Susan Dudley, hopeful for White House regulations chief, once wrote that in calculating drinking-water arsenic levels, the EPA should value older people's lives less than younger people's. This time around, Bush may avoid the congressional approval process by making recess appointments while the Senate is on break. Says Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), "I view it as an enormous threat to public health that the president refuses to back off." Guess a Decider's gotta do what a Decider's gotta do.

It is good!

I've waited for 7+ years for Americans to wake up and see the truth about America's glorious leader, the Bush.

I remember quite vividly on how before bush's invasion of Iraq that  many many way too many Americans believed that the bush was the second coming of Jesus Christ!

God told me to attack Iraq!  What??? Bush_it!

Took some time but what's happening now with the bush's poll numbers in the low 30's and losing congress and the support of his own party things are finally looking up!

I can honesty say that the bush has done nothing for the general population.  He's given much to his rich benefactors but nothing to us common folk.

Now what I call the extreme court because of the theft of election 2000 is not singing his tune! HIS appointees are of course...no surprise there, but what is right is finally making sense to the decision makers in Washington!

IF the polar bear wins and gets on the endangered list that would mean that the EPA would have no choice but to do everything possible to avert the decline of the polar bear population.

That would mean to me that the bush's opinion is no longer valued as the supreme will!

Still have to wait and see but things are looking a lot brighter now.
