Did You Mean: Solar Power?

Google to install more than 9,000 photovoltaic panels at its HQ

Google Inc. is converting six buildings at its headquarters in the San Francisco Bay area to run on up to 30 percent solar power. The project, one of the largest solar endeavors undertaken by a U.S. company, will require installation of 9,212 solar panels, and should be operational by early 2007. "We hope corporate America is paying attention. We want to see a lot of copycats," says David Radcliffe, Google's vice president of real estate, who estimates that energy savings should allow the company to recoup costs within five to 10 years. This effort to mitigate the energy-sucking effects of Google's one-million-square-foot HQ complex isn't the company's only green endeavor: it also gives $5,000 to employees who buy hybrid cars, serves organic food in its cafeterias, and furnishes its offices with recycled materials.

Hormones and Groans

Where can I find list of these potential products that contain these hormones so that I can protect my children and help protect others by spreading the word.

This hits close to home

I know a family who had to deal with this problem. Their daughter started growing pubic hair and breasts at age 9. The doctor said that she would start menstrating within the year if the problem continued. He did not say it was due to cosmetics or medications, he said it was because of the fast food that they were feeding her during their busy schedule. Burger King and Mcdonalds. So they started feeding her better foods and low and behold, the progression stopped. I would like to see these corporations revealed for the scumbags they are.

Google, you know I love you

A pioneer in ecofriendly corporations, google is at the top of my list for favorite sites. Especially when they decided not to release our queries to the Feds. However, why isn't anyone talking about the significant waste that solar power produces?

solar waste?

Uh, you mean like the silicon they recycle from the computer chip industry? (which situation, btw, led to a real shortage of solar panels these last few years because production of panels sped up faster than production of computers--yay!)  Or are we talking about the few square feet of ground each panel "wastes" by shading it?

Truly, Fountainhead, I have no idea what you're talking about.  Care to elaborate?
