Two's Company, 300 Million's a Crowd

U.S. population hits 300 million

This morning at 7:46 eastern daylight time, the 300 millionth American was either born or crossed the border. Person 300 Million is here just in time for bitter pre-election immigration debates: 40 percent of the U.S. population growth rate is attributed to immigration, and immigrants make up the largest proportion of the nation's population since the 1920s. Person 300 Million will also probably join his or her compatriots in sprawling outward: The 100 millionth American arrived in 1915 into a country with 2.5 million cars; the 200 millionth was born 52 years later, in 1967, when there were 98.9 million cars; now, 39 years later, the 300 millionth person will have the opportunity to breathe in tailpipe emissions from 237.2 million cars. The U.S., which has the dubious distinction of being the only industrialized nation with robust population growth, is third only to China and India in total population. And the U.S. Census Bureau population clock ominously ticks on, adding a new person every 11 seconds.

Hormones and Groans

Where can I find list of these potential products that contain these hormones so that I can protect my children and help protect others by spreading the word.

This hits close to home

I know a family who had to deal with this problem. Their daughter started growing pubic hair and breasts at age 9. The doctor said that she would start menstrating within the year if the problem continued. He did not say it was due to cosmetics or medications, he said it was because of the fast food that they were feeding her during their busy schedule. Burger King and Mcdonalds. So they started feeding her better foods and low and behold, the progression stopped. I would like to see these corporations revealed for the scumbags they are.

Google, you know I love you

A pioneer in ecofriendly corporations, google is at the top of my list for favorite sites. Especially when they decided not to release our queries to the Feds. However, why isn't anyone talking about the significant waste that solar power produces?

solar waste?

Uh, you mean like the silicon they recycle from the computer chip industry? (which situation, btw, led to a real shortage of solar panels these last few years because production of panels sped up faster than production of computers--yay!)  Or are we talking about the few square feet of ground each panel "wastes" by shading it?

Truly, Fountainhead, I have no idea what you're talking about.  Care to elaborate?
