Ready to Chirac

Former French prez launches foundation to preserve biodiversity

Posted at 10:24 AM on 10 Jun 2008

Jacques Chirac.
Former French President Jacques Chirac has launched a foundation aimed at preserving cultural and natural diversity that humans seem intent upon obliterating. The Chirac Foundation will provide funds to improve access to water and medicines in developing countries, fight deforestation and desertification, and preserve languages and cultures that are on the verge of dying out. "In the face of major world challenges, I still want to fight," Chirac said Monday. "And the foundation is the tool for this. I want to stir and awaken consciences."

Chirac Is Nothing But A Fascist

When he was president of France, he dropped nuclear bombs in French Polynesia for "testing."  As Greenpeace once said on a poster, this is not a test, it's willful destruction of the Earth.  Maybe he's doing this to make up for his past sins?

He also has become a marxist

Europeans were very interested in Chirac's fund. We were shocked to hear, when he launched it, that his speech and those of other heads of states present, contained phrases like "capitalism is bankrupt", "capitalism has been the biggest catastrophy to face mankind" and "we must look at new economic models", etc...

It's a bit of a tradition for French presidents to become their alter-ego after their terms in office.

Obviously, a recurring topic of Chirac is also his hatred of Anglosaxon liberalism. His foundation's aim to preserve "cultural diversity" must be seen in this perspective. He's especially keen on preserving la francophonie! :-)

Too Late

This is a rhetorical question, but why is it that some politicians, especially heads of state, say the right things and have the right attitudes only AFTER they leave office, when they no longer have any power to accomplish anything significant?  Reminds me of Al Gore.

beware the wolf in sheep's clothing!

As Wolverine said, Chirac "tested" nukes in a time when it had long since been evident that nuclear weapons are no guarantee of peace and are really not much of a weapon at all; being that dropping even one in these "hot" days of nuclear armed countries could spell the beginning of the end of the world for all.
Chirac is the proverbial wolf.
We don't need Chirac saving our planet any more than we need Jesse James overseeing the Federal Reserve.
The man is a criminal.
He's out to give us all a bad name.
Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing.
