EPA sued over its procrastination

Seventeen states and 11 green groups have sued the U.S. EPA for not yet having made a decision about whether it will regulate greenhouse gases. The lawsuit was filed Wednesday, exactly one year after the Supreme Court ruled that EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson should make that decision.

The Wheels of Government

Look, why do we need to rush these things.

2010 -- Most auto companies are promising electric plug ins

2015 -- Should have significant fleets of high mileage, low emission cars. Solar panels should be super cheap and industry will be using them.

2020 -- Nuclear batteries perfected. Zero emissions. Completely independently powered homes.

This isn't a first

I've been covering these EPA fiascoes for a while on my blog. The amount of political influence going on at the EPA right now is unthinkable. The Supreme Court has issued a command to the EPA and the EPA has failed to perform, these states and groups have every right to sue. Good for them!

By the way, I thought it was 18 states who were suing.

Pockets

Who's pocket do you suppose Stephen Johnson is in?Oh yeah,president bush who is in the pocket of Big Business.
And jabailo,the auto industry can promise til hell freezes over but it doesn't mean anything.Besides,if we wait til those dates you posted the effects of global warming will be more severe.We can not stop global warming and the damage that it will do,but we can alleviate some of the damage,but we have to start now,not ten years from now.We are close to the tipping point were as we won't be able to help ourselves.

Why not ask why!?
