TFN and our local groups
When I learned about Freecycle TM I looked for a group in our zip code and found none, so I created a group. I jumped through all the hoops, made the changes that the New Group Approver demanded and I thought I was approved.
I advertised the new group with groups in adjacent counties and lo and behold our county already has a Freecycle TM group that isn't officially registered.
The existing group got mad at me for invading "their" territory and accused me of email mining, etc. Freecycle TM declined to approve my group but also have done nothing to approve the existing group. They're cutting their nose off to spite their face!
I'm glad to learn about FreeSharing - I'm going to rename my yahoo group and register it with FreeSharing.On freecycle: TM, and R.I.P. posted 3 years, 4 months ago 31 Responses
