  • Greenwashing Article "Coming Clean"

    The article seems to suggest that the term "greenwashing" is undergoing a semantic shift into positive territory - or at least that it's a hopeful trend when corporate organizations try to greenwash their images. Such a shift in the meaning of this word would be seismic, if so, as all prior uses are negative, pejorative.

    Now for my real question: What do readers of Grist understand to be the relationship, if any, between "ecoporn" and "greenwashing"? Last week there was a linked article on "climate porn."

    What's it all about, this business of pornography to characterize environmental attitudes?
