    So the Pentagon scenario called for global turmoil by 2020 but we've already seen food riots in 5 countries by 2008, the government of Haiti was overtunred), and 30+ more countries are at risk.

    Apparently as a result of the Pentagon's scenario, war games will be conducted this summer so the U.S. military can practice occupying Ameirican cities:

    "U.S. foreign affairs and military experts will stage a war game this summer to study and highlight the national security threats posed by global warming.
    The exercise, being staged by a coalition of seven think tanks and other non-profits called the Climate Change Consortium, will get technical assistance from the U.S. National Laboratory at Oak Ridge, Tenn., a statement from the organizers said Tuesday.
    It said the exercise would be held in Washington July 27-28 and would be the first of two."

    As further preparation, the legal and logistical groundwork is being laid to make the military supression of Americans legal and to recruit foreign military support as necessary:

    The President took it upon himself to authorize himself to deploy these combined U.S. and foreign troops in U.S. cities without the approval Congress (and in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act banning U.S. military action against U.S. citizens on American soil). The commander of these troops will be Homeland Security, a branch of the military which brought us surveillance without court approval, arrest without charges, indefinite jailing without legal representation or a trial or a conviction, and torture in violation of all international laws (and they currently harbor the fugitives now wanted by foreign governmnents to face torture charges). The President and Homeland Security are accountable to no one, least of all the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights... our very own Homeland Gestapo!  Those of us who missed the horror of WWII have the dubious honor of seeing some of the same early mistakes repeated again (standing by while one branch of the government usurps power and consolidates it under one leader, aided by this sort of unaccountable organization with no legal, moral, or ethical boundaries).

    Read the article, written by the current vice-president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police and a contributor to TheConservativeVoice.com. This guy is a high-ranking career law enforcement professional who has concerns that senior military leaders in the U.S. and Canada plan on deploying military personnel, untrained in police work, into your metropolitan area neighborhoods. Hopefully we'll have at least that 11 year timeframe to expose and influence this plan so the tanks and troops won't simply protect the rich and leave the rest of us to starve.

    Why is no news outlet blowing the lid off this national threat posed by our own government and military?

    Why is Congress sitting by and watching their role in the U.S. government get diminished by questionable Presidential directives?  Is there any legal precedent to what Bush has done?
